The Father, Unblinking is a character driven, 24 minute, 16 mm short film based on a short story written by the O.Henry Prize winning author Brian Evenson, and is directed by award winning documentary filmmaker Ziggy Attias. Set in rural America a father discovers his young daughter dead of fever. Knowing her death was inevitable, he is at first devastated but quickly realizes that he does not want his fragile wife to see that the girl has passed.

Prophets and Brothers is an adaptation of three short stories by Brian Evenson, one which received an O’Henry Award. The film explores the fundamental religious beliefs of two patriarchs and their families and how human nature overcomes religious principles.
Prophets and Brothers unfolds in seven intertwining chapters beginning with the story of Thrane, a disciple of Daddy Norton. Thrane’s revelations begin shortly after he discovers his child dead of fever and must bury her without her mother’s knowledge.
